Summary

On the frigid morning of February 20, 2009, a 4-year-old girl appeared on the doorstep of a rural Wampum, PA home sobbing and proclaiming her pregnant mother wouldn't wake up. Police soon arrived on the scene to find the woman had been shot in the back of the head while sleeping, but there was no evidence of an intruder. Before long, all signs pointed to an unlikely suspect, and an arrest was made. But it wasn't a stranger. Or her menacing ex-boyfriend. Not even her fiancee. According to police, the culprit was an 11-year-old boy.
