Hey everybody, this is Andy Wood, and I'm the pastor here at Saddleback Church, and this is our podcast.

We're in the third week of a message series called Fight for Your Family.

And this series really has been a call for us to get a fresh vision for our homes.

To say, God, we need you in our families.

We need you in our homes.

And what I love about our church is our church is multi-generational. So we have everything from babies all the way to great, great grandparents.

And every one of us are at different seasons. We've got single parents. We've got some that are

newly married. We've got some with young babies. We got some empty nesters. And God

has a vision for every home that's a part of our church. Do you believe that? That God has a vision

that he wants to get into our hearts. So I also want to say this. Like somebody was just asking

me, perhaps why we chose the word fight for your family. It just seems really aggressive.

And you kind of want to say when somebody says that, like, well, good for you that you've never

had to actually be in a place where you feel like you need to fight for your family.

Because it is a battle to live the life that God has created you to live.

So it is a call for us with urgency to fight for our homes spiritually for the grace of God

to become a reality in our home. So today, I want to give you a message that's been burning in

my heart all week long, and I want to talk to you about perseverance when family is hard. So

when you hit a place in the journey, when it's really difficult, what do you do?

How do you sustain your commitment when it's very difficult?
