Hi, everyone. Thanks for listening. I'm Amanda Weinstein, and this is a special episode of the

Suburban Women Problem. Today, we are talking with Katie Paris of red, wine, and blue. Katie, welcome.

Thank you for having me on. You know I'm a fan. So we have a lot to talk about. There has been so

much going on in Ohio with a ballot measure to put reproductive rights on our state's

constitution. And last week, we got some bad news from the Ohio ballot board. They voted to use

some very misleading language on the ballot. And a lot of people might not have even realized

they can do this. So they can do this? I know. It sounds illegal, right? So let me

explain how this has happened. What's going on? What's not going on? Yes. We are absolutely

voting on reproductive rights in Ohio this November in 2023. It is the only state in the entire nation that is going to be voting on

this this year. Pretty exciting, right? And in August, we had this special election where they

tried to change the threshold by which we would have to pass it from 50% to 60%. Ohio said,

no, we won by 14 points, which was super exciting. And so they have this

big loss. And now here comes this big vote in November. And what's going on, Amanda, is that they are

scared of losing because I know that the majority of Ohioans do support reproductive freedom.

And so if they can't win, they've got to figure out a way to, you know,

cheat their way into it. So deception, disinformation, that is when we can't beat him, cheat

him. I, you know, a smart lady who I know was recently a guest on this show, Chantal Brown said that.
