| 0:36.1 | canily for the healing of her seizure clusters asking for the intercession of blessed Pauline Jericho and I'm offering |
| 0:46.1 | this for Jeannie Sherman who helped inspire this meditation today. So now we'll pause for a moment and you can add your own |
| 0:55.3 | intentions. Today I had the great privilege and joy of sitting for a long time and talking with my very good friend Jeannie Sherman who is growing ever closer each day to heaven as she is dying from bone cancer. |
| 1:15.0 | And as we talk today, I asked her what she's been reflecting on most, |
| 1:23.0 | and she immediately picked up the diary of St. Faustina, |
| 1:27.0 | and she said this paragraph, |
| 1:30.0 | where St. Faustinner writes, |
| 1:33.0 | When I look into the future, I am frightened. |
| 1:37.0 | But why plunge into the future? |
| 1:40.0 | Only the present moment is precious to me, as the future may never enter my soul at all. |
| 1:47.0 | It is no longer in my power to change, correct, or add to the past, for neither Sages nor prophets could do that. |
| 1:56.2 | And so what the past has embraced I must entrust to God. |
| 2:00.9 | O present moment, you belong to me whole and entire. I desire to use you as best I can. |
| 2:09.9 | And although I am weak and small, you grant me the grace of your omnipotence. |
