And hello, my friends. It is so good to be back with you here on the morning. I said,

it is time for you and I to get our minds aligned with the truth of God's Word.

And that is just so vital in the world in which we live. There's all kinds of philosophies

and teachings and approaches to life that are coming at us. It seems like an unrelenting speed.

And we have got to get ourselves grounded and secured by the eternity of the ages,

the truth of God's Word that he's provided to us in written form. We're going to dig into John chapter 15,

verse number six in just a moment. But first, I want to invite you to reach out to me.

All right, today we're looking at John chapter 15, verse number six.

Now remember, Jesus is in the midst of speaking to his 11 disciples.

Judas Iscariot has already gone away to betray him, so he's not part of this conversation.

And Jesus is teaching his disciples some of the fundamental things they need to know

as he goes toward the cross and they are starting to take up the mantle of leadership in this movement.

We know today as Christianity. And so he says in verse six of chapter 15,

if anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers.

And the branches are gathered thrown into the fire and burned.
