Welcome to our Friday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth. All of this week I've been sharing about taking the limits off of God.

And basically the first four days I've just been explaining how that we limit God by our small thinking. We have wrong beliefs.

One of them that I countered a lot was this sovereignty of God.

I believe God is sovereign but not the way that the church realm uses it where he controls everything.

God is first in rank, order or authority. He's independent. Nobody controls him.

But he does not control us like a chest piece. We have to choose to pursue the things of God.

And that wrong teaching on the sovereignty of God is just a faith killer and it makes people passive so that they don't resist the devil.

James 4 or 7 says, submit yourselves, therefore unto God, which that's something that's positive that you do.

And then it says, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

If you believe that God controls everything, well then there's nothing to resist because the devil couldn't do anything if God didn't allow it.

That's just a faith killer. So I've been using this verse out of Psalm 78.41.

This is what the Lord spoke to me on January 31, 2002.

And he says, yea, they turned back and tempted God and limited the Holy One of Israel.

And I tell you this just revolutionized my life. On Monday I gave a list of many, many things that have changed in my life since then in the last 20 years.

It's just phenomenal and it's not, it's God that made the difference. Yes, but he wouldn't have done it if I hadn't have yielded to him.

And if started taking the limits off, God doesn't force himself upon us.

Many of us are praying and asking God for something to change and we know that there's more and we know that we need to be making a difference and we express the desire.

But it doesn't happen by you just begging God to do it. You've got to change some things and you've got to change the way you think.
