I'm reading this book called, I think it's called Science Fictions.

And it talks about how many of the real science stuff that goes, gets published in like these peer-reviewed journal science or nature gets retracted like the next year.

Like it was so, I was telling Granbo, the guy he was talking about this whatever on a rat, and he just painted a big black magic marker on the rat and got busted.

I need more light for bigger yields, better harvest, man. I'm tired of just, I need to go up to a thousand versus 600. Back in the day, I know when I worked in the growth stores, a thousand watt, GPS was king. You'd be like, man, you're just running a little 400. When it's true, more lots does equal, I want to say better harvest. It's more energy. You should have more of yield. It's more. It's half of the energy. I'm sorry, it's more energy, but we're trying to build plant material. And building plant material is using carbon. It's using C. You need the CO2. You need

the carbon. So there's some carbon CO2 in the air, about 400 ppm. But if you've got tons of light and it's running out of carbon,

why bother? You know, you're running too much light and you're wasting its energy. Also,

if it's not the right temperature and humidity, if it's really cool in that room,

and metabolism's running really slow. You can give it all the light you want, but that metabolism is

slower. I mean, unless you have, you want, but that metabolism is slower.

I mean, unless you have, we've seen growers have awesome gross in a two by two area with a 100 watt LED. So I get it. If you have a very low wattage light, you know, you're going to think

about upgrading. But if you're already sitting there with a decent, you know, light of three, let's say

at HLV 350 and my two by four, 10 more than enough coverage. I got to upgrade anything else before my light. Like, and plus I wouldn't upgrade the light in that tent because it would be too much. But look at everything, of course, the handle the light intensity. I think what you were just mentioned, CO2, make sure environment's good. Otherwise, what's the point of adding more watts? Don't say DLI, dude. It's about how much light your plan can handle, man. So it's about how much, you know, turning up that PPD, just measuring it. You can do it with your phone, man, the photon app. But that's really what it's about knowing how much light you have and then there's measurements with CO2 and without CO2. Just audit your light. You just made a good point. You talked about the deal I and PPFD. If you're running an LED maybe that's five years older, older, maybe it's a good time to get something to measure your PPFD or your spectrum. I know the Pulse Pro will actually measure spectrum as well within that light, see your red, your blues, your green, it's pretty cool to know where you're at.

But I would consider depending on what light you have, that that might be a time to upgrade to a more full-spectrum LED.

Diodes, though, in general, we were learning can last, man, like a 5% degradation of 8 to 10 years after the fact of being you know on a 12 12 or 18 hour light cycle was not much yeah I don't know I don't know about if we need to replace our LEDs here but I think we did a good job man myth debunk did we debunk that myth man it's, I don't think that's a myth. More watts equal, bigger, better harvest. It is true in the right, you know, if you got everything else, nutrition, genetics, environment, dialed. Until you run out of CO2. Until you run out of CO2. It's got to be, you just understand what you're the yield limiting factor.

It's light. If it's your yield limiting factor, turn that up. And then sooner than later, you're going to run out of CO2 to, uh, photo synthesized with. So don't turn your light up anymore. Like it.
