Fauchy is stepping down from his role as chief medical propagandist for the federal government.

The 81 year old Fauchy, a pocket-sized man who never met a lie, he wouldn't tell,

announced today that he will be leaving his position as the Director of the National Institute of

Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as well as his job as Chief of the NIA ID

Laboratory of Immuno Regulation and his role as chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden.

Now as exciting as this may seem, Vauchy assured everyone that he's not retiring, that after

50 years of lying for the government he plans to pursue the next phase of his

career, here's what he said in his official statement.

While I am moving on for my current position, I am not retiring.

While I am moving on from my current position, I am not retiring.

After more than 50 years of government service, I plan to pursue the next phase of my career

while I still have so much energy and passion for my field. I want to use what I have learned

as NIAID director to continue to advance science and public health and to

inspire and mentor the next generation of scientific leaders as they prepare the

world to face future infectious disease threats.

So that's really what we need right there.
