Okay, before we dig into Colossians 2, I want to invite you to pray with me.

Our God, you are our teacher, so please come.

Teach us.

Make us humble.

Make us ready to receive and apply what you say to us, to admit where we may have

been deceived and let astray, and to turn, to repent, and to come back to Jesus.

We ask in his name, amen.

And what I'm talking about here of giving yourself over to false prophets may sound a little

provocative, but it's not meant to be. Because it's very possible, it's very true for all of us.

We can get led astray by well-meaning intentions that we have to believe the best about somebody,

but that somebody is actually not trustworthy.

Let's read about it in Colossians chapter 2 versus 18 and 19.

He says, let no one disqualify you.

So there's an inference here.
