Well it's interesting because we've talked a lot recently about schools but more so and rightly so should I add about school safety given the Parkland

school incident but when we look at schools in education what are some of the

big issues in American education?

They are remain what they were 25 years ago.

They remain what they were when I was Secretary of Education which is now 35 years ago.

I believe that.

12. 30 years ago was when I left.

But performance.

Plus there's other problems.

But performance. We have seen an uptick in math scores and I'm using as my

base here at the NAEP, the National Assessment of Educational Progress. seen an uptick in math scores.
