people preparing their taxes to use multiple forms and worksheets and maintains almost all deductions.

So for H&R Block and the like, tax confusion remains its cash cow.

We spoke with ProPublica reporting fellow Jessica Hussman last April about the role that tax

preparation lobby has played in keeping our code so complicated.

Last year, Intuit spent almost $2.5 million lobbying. H&R Block, spent more

than $3 million, and they're also spending money giving direct donations. So what is it like

doing taxes right now? I'll just tell you how I do my taxes, and maybe that will be representative

because I don't think that I'm very good at it.
