Ephesians 210, now look at this. For we are God's own handiwork, his workmanship,

recreated in Christ Jesus, born anew that we may do those good works.

Why did God recreate us?

For good works.

Things that he predestined and planned ahead of time for us, taking paths that he prepared ahead of time.

Now watch this, that we should walk in them living the good life.

Well, you know what?

I think that we leave out the good works and just want to skip on to the good life.

Everybody loves messages about the good life.

I could probably double my crowds if I would just preach about the good life and not jump all over people.

I used to get upset because God didn't give me a dessert ministry.

I wanted to be one of the people that just flew into town and had a private word for everybody and called everybody up, prophesied to them, lay everybody out on the floor, grow out legs and, you know,

do whatever and leave town. Not me. I got to go in and tell everybody off. I got to.

But then I finally got it.

People can't live on dessert.

It tastes good, but you'll die on it.
