All right, everybody. Second Corinthians chapter 6 is where we are in our Bibles. If you're new to Cornerstone, we just go straight through Scripture, and we are here today in the sixth chapter of Second Corinthians.

I'm going to pray first, and then we will dive into this chapter this morning.

Father, it is good to be in your house. It is good, Lord, to worship with brothers and

sisters. I thank you, Lord, for people watching online as well. We just want to lift our voices in song

through our praise, and now we want to just open our Bibles and hear from you today. So speak to us,

we pray. Thank you, Lord, for all those who are here

and those who are watching online. We just commit all this to you, Lord. Thank you for your grace.

Thank you for your love and your mercy in our lives. Thank you for the cross. We just thank you,

Jesus, for loving us so much that you would give your life for us. So bless this time in your word,

we pray in Jesus' name. And everybody said, amen. Well, if you were here last week, we were

finishing chapter 5. And after wrapping up chapter 5 last week on the subject of reconciliation

and how we are also called to be ambassadors for Christ,

representing him everywhere we go and with everyone we meet. I had planned to just go deeper into

chapter six for today's teaching, but I couldn't get past verse one.

So if you look here at chapter 6, verse 1, this will be the totality of our text this morning.

Verse 1, Paul writes, we then, as workers together with him, that's the Lord,

also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

Not to receive the grace of God in vain.

So Paul builds here in chapter six off of what he wrote in chapter five.

Look, in the first century, there were not chapter delineations.

Chapters and verses didn't come until like the 13th and 14th centuries AD

to help us find our way through the Bible.
