Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the masters where we devote

ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning guys. We are picking up with day two of our

Living Changed in the New Year devotional in the Bible app. There's a link to that in the

the scripture then towards going to pick up with the dvone. Let's do it. The scripture is Genesis

chapter 50 verses 17 through 20 and it says this. To say to you please forgive your brothers for the

great wrong they did to you for their sin and treating you so cruelly. So we the servants of God

of your father beg you to forgive our sin. When Joseph received the message he broke down and

wept. Then his brothers came and threw themselves down before Joseph. Look we are your slaves they

said but Joseph replied don't be afraid of me. Am I God that I can punish you? You intended to

harm me but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives

of many people. The devotional is titled Living a Year in Surrender and it says this. The beginning

of the year is the perfect time to pause and reflect not only to recognize all the reasons we

have to be grateful but also to heal and grow in the year ahead. While reflecting we may be reminded

of hurt feelings rather than sweep those feelings under the rug or let them create bitterness we can

choose the freedom of forgiveness and the first step towards forgiveness is surrender. Surrender can

be one of those words that makes people squeamish especially when it comes to forgiveness. We tend to

equate it with losing a battle waving a white flag and allowing the enemy to overtake us but when
