Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought. Let's open up to Genesis chapter 42, verse 28.

Our family's schedule that week was completely full. It seemed like every minute had some sort of planned out commitment,

and my brain was at capacity trying to keep track of all of it. And then my daughter came home

with a note in her backpack about a dress-up day at school the next day and an extra project

that she needed to finish at home. I felt like my world had just exploded.

I was barely hanging on, and now I had to add these new things into the mix.

I immediately said silently to God,

why can't I get a break?

I need rest immediately.

A surprisingly silly answer came into my mind that just made me realize

how insignificant my current problems were in the grand scheme of things. I was able to laugh,

I was able to set some boundaries and move forward while having fun during that busy week. We made it

When Joseph's brothers found themselves in a poor circumstance, they cried in Genesis chapter 42 verse 28. What is this that God has done unto us? It can be so easy to see every

bad thing in our lives as something God does to us. We feel anger and

frustration toward God for silly and serious trials. But when we take that initial reaction of anger

and turn it into humility in asking the Lord how we can move forward. God can easily answer our prayers

and help to widen our perspective. So the takeaway of the day in five words or less, don't blame God,
