hey friends, Greg Kocul here and the very first show of 2024 we're launching this year and now I got to do my math. I started in 1990 in February. So when I started in 1990 in February, so when I start in 2024, by February, that will be how many

years.

I think it'll be 34 years plus entering what the

35th year broadcasting anyway it's hard to believe that my broadcasting career has lasted has gone the way it's gone.

I can't say has lasted so long because in a certain sense I'm not surprised once you

get off the ground and you get a

listenership and especially if you have an organization and enterprise

to kind of help you get going and that makes a big difference. It's kind of like best-selling authors. Well, of course

their best-selling authors, they've got really big followings or communities or a big social media footprint that kind of helps okay and actually now it's a prerequisite

it's a prerequisite pretty much to get a book published with a regular publisher. But in any event, when I started I

had no expectation that this would be the case. I started with KBRT here in Southern California and that was before the Salem Broadcasting Network even existed.

KBRT was, I think, the biggest Christian station here in the Los Angeles area, and I started

on weekends.

I think I started doing Saturdays, Sundays, then Sunday Monday, then I settled into Saturday Sunday from three until six so six hours of radio and

That's when I thought how am I going to be able to do this for such a long time?

It just seemed at that time that I wasn't well suited for this.

And for the first, you know, six, eight months a year,

I was banging along hoping to get callers because of the kind of show that I was doing.

And it was a couple of years into that show that I changed the format to the way we have it now with stand a reason and so that has been durable and I think I found the niche that I was comfortable in and

seemed to perform the best in and that's worked out.
