Welcome back my friends. It is time for the morning mindset. It is time for you and for me to get our minds aligned with the truth of God for this day.

And one of those tasks of alignment

is often to learn or remind ourselves

how to think about ourselves.

Who are we in this world? Who are we as followers of Jesus Christ?

Today I want to look at a passage in 2nd Corinthians chapter 6, where the Apostle Paul is very much addressing that issue.

And he does so by referring to himself, but he's talking as well by proxy about all of us as believers in Christ, and he's describing attitudes

that we must have if we are to endure as genuine true believers in Jesus Christ.

In other words, what does it look like

to show up in the world as a believer in Jesus Christ?

Now let's keep reading here in second convenience chapter six.

Verse number three, Paul says, now remember as we read this, he's describing the mindset and the attitude of a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

He says, we put no obstacle in anyone's way so that no fault may be found with our ministry. But as servants of God, we

commend ourselves in every way by great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, beatings, imprisonment, riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger, by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the

Holy Spirit, genuine love by truthful speech and the power of God.

With the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left.

Through honor and dishonor through slander and praise.

We are treated as imposters and yet are true.

Treated as unknown and yet well known.

Treated as dying and behold we live.

As punished and yet not killed.

As sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing yet possessing everything.
