or that lived on that block. And he would make it a point that come over and make sure

that me and my siblings and other kids knew the right thing. He started us playing sports,

mainly football and baseball. Tim turned out to be really good at sports. So good that

after starring on his high school baseball and football teams in the early 70s, he got

a scholarship to play tight end at Lincoln University in Missouri, but he only lasted one

season. So one day, during the game, a quarter football and I went down and I hit two guys

and they couldn't bring me down a motion so I was getting ready to break loose and this

big guy hit me right in the back. Boom! Missouri shoved and that's how bad the hit was

I remember the school. Tim says he wasn't really feeling the college

thing. So without football, there wasn't a reason for him to stay so far away from home.

He took a trip back to Philly and he just stayed there. Eventually though, his back started

feeling better and Tim started missing sports. I was sitting home after a couple of weeks.
