So, Kavita, I grew up playing hockey in Northern Michigan and spent a lot of weekends over

the border in Canada.

Great deals on hockey six there, man, you know, because of the exchange rate.

My dad was all over that.

Oh, I mean, trust me, the Davidson's love a great bargain.

My parents own like seven of the same crock pot just because they were on sale.

I feel you.

Anyway, it was always a special treat on those trips to Ontario to watch hockey night in

Canada.

But the most memorable part of those broadcasts was often the intermission.

Don Cherry, the iconic hockey commentator, has done a segment called coaches corner for more

than thirty years, featuring his outlandish suits and often inflammatory opinions.

And then this week, Don Cherry got fired.

It happened after he made disparaging remarks about immigrants.

You people love you, you that come here, whatever it is, you love our way of life, you love

our milk and honey at least.

But the thing is, Don Cherry has been saying offensive things on Canadian airwaves for decades,
