And that mission is to enter the murky world of podcasting with their new show, The Friendship Onion, in which the two former Hobbits, and friends of two decades' standing, chat about whatever the heck they want to. The Friendship Onion is a ton of fun, as is this interview, in which Chris Hewitt and James Dyer talk to Dom and Billy about all manner of things, from the best apple to how to handle a rattlesnake in your living room, and the biggest question of all: have you ever texted someone a GIF of yourself? 0:42.7	but now they're dipping their toes into the murky waters of podcasting with the friendship
0:48.0	onion, a pod which sees two of them get together in an LA studio and shoot the breeze about
0:53.6	pretty much anything and everything that pops into their heads.
0:57.7	Their chemistry forged by years of friendship which began on that epic New Zealand rings
1:02.4	shoot is palpable and the podcast is funny, informative, surprising and sometimes gloriously

1:11.1	In other words, it's a podcast after my own ears and heart.
1:16.4	So when the chance arose to interview Dominic Billy in the LA studio where they record
1:20.1	the show, well, I jumped at it.
1:22.8	Well, they were in the studio, we were in London and by we I mean James Dyer and
1:27.6	me.
1:28.6	Usually James is sound as pristine and clear cut and wonderful, but he was actually in
1:33.6	the proper empire office when we recorded this interview and so he had to basically go
1:38.3	into a cupboard and record his bits on an iPhone which is why he doesn't sound quite as
1:43.2	good as usual.
