My name is Brian Wallace, your host.

And I created this show to give myself a little leeway

to talk with things off topic a little bit

from medical content.

Medical content is obviously really important.

I was about to say the most important thing,

but I'm not sure that it is.

It's obviously really, really important.

And you need a ton of medical content knowledge.

But when I say knowledge,

those are the facts and figures of medicine,

the information, the things you memorize,

not necessarily the skills you come up with,

the abilities that you learn,

the ability to diagnose, the ability to treat,

the ability to empathize and communicate with patients,

the ability to persuade your patients to believe in you

and to believe in your treatment plans

and to follow through on your treatment plans.

There's so much more that goes into being a PA,

a doctor, a pharmacist, a student,
