When you look at some of the greatest sports dynasties of all time, the Cowboys in the 1990s,

the San Francisco 49ers in the 80s, the Lakers in the 2000s, the Spurs, you had great supporting cast,

yes, but most importantly, you had superstars, players that you could build your team around for years to come

Players that the opposing defenses would always fear

When it comes the goal setting most take the approach of trying to blend together a bunch of undrafted rookies

Thinking they're gonna dominate the league they set these small ego gratifying goals that don't move the needle.

They focus on finishing a certain amount of books, moving some weight, maybe having a big game.

This is the wrong approach.

I want you to instead focus on drafting the right players, choosing the right goals,

the top three that will make the biggest impact. I'm talking about that 2003 NBA draft shit.

With the first pick in the 2003 NBA draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers select LeBron James.

With the third pick in the 2003 NBA draft, the Denver Nuggets select Carmelo Anthony from Fortuce University.

With the fifth pick in the 2003 NBA draft, the Miami Heat select Dwayne Wade from Marquette University.

Draft Day is important.

You can't fuck around and draft the wrong players that can fuck up the whole year, that

can fuck up the entire next five years of your team.

So what that means for you and I as we start to establish what our goals are,

and we're doing that today, is we cannot choose the wrong goals.

We have to draft the right players.

We can't draft Darko Milichich.

We got to draft LeBron James.

We got to draft Shaquille O'Neal.
