Active day here at the scouting combine in Indianapolis, and we heard from head coach, Jim Harbaugh, Chargers.

Now, Joe Hortiz, second year as general manager.

How fast has that first year flown by, Joe?

It's been quick.

I mean, it's someone asked me the question of the podium, like, you know, what's the difference the year?

And, you know, this the difference the year and you know

this year versus last and it's just like man last year which is you didn't think you were drinking

through a fire hose you didn't think you wanted you know you didn't want to say you were but when

you reflect on it man it came at you fast and furious and um got into the routine once the draft you know

once free agency the draft got going the season was awesome but, you look up and we're already here in another combine.

How does things change being the man, right, and not being, you know, one of the underlings?

Like, we always ask coaches, like, how did life change when you became the head coach?

How did life change for you becoming, you know, the main guy in charge in the front office?

I'd like to think it hasn't, really.

I just, I followed the routine I learned.

I followed the path I learned in Baltimore and tried to apply it and try to be the same person I've always been.

And, you know, I guess the biggest difference is you're making the ultimate decision.

Right. But you believe in the process, you trust the process because it's proven and you follow it.

So the process leads you to the decision.

So, you know, I just operate the process.

You don't feel like there's like, I have to put a fire out, this, or this or that.

A little bit more of that.
