Right now, though, we are joined by the new head coach of the Miami Dolphins. He was the Green Bay Packers, defense coordinator for the past two years. He's also been an assistant coach with Tampa Bay, Cleveland, and San Francisco previously, as well as the head coach of Boston College for four years from 2020 to 2020. Our guest is Jeff Halfley. Jeff really appreciate you coming on the program. How you doing, Jeff?

I'm doing great. How are you doing, Jim? Good, dude. I got a better question for you. Being that we have a home in the Northwoods, Wisconsin, my wife is there right now. It is a balmy six degrees. How pumped are you to be in South Florida? Well, yeah, I mean, I'm really excited.

Other than my family still in Green Bay, it's nice to walk out the door and not need a winter coat, winter hat, and gloves, and it's nice that it's not minus 17, so it's great. That is a good thing. All right, so let me ask you this. The Dolphins were not the only team that you met with regarding the head coaching vacancy. So what was it about this franchise that made you want to lock in on this opportunity?

It was the people. On the Zoom interview, I had a good feel for Mr. Ross and everybody who was on that.

And then it was the alignment with the GM, John Eric Sullivan. Soie and I worked together in Green Bay the past two years, had a really good working relationship,

watch film together, watch draft film together.

And for me, it was always going to be, if I had an opportunity to do this, the alignment

key was always going to be probably the number one priority because I've been in places where

I've seen it not aligned and it doesn't work. So this is a really good place for me with the people and with John Eric.
