0:13.1	classified documents from President Joe Biden's time as vice president discovered in a private
0:18.5	office he periodically used in Washington. The source tells CNN that fewer than a dozen
0:23.8	documents were found, found by the way, by Biden's own people. His lawyers say they found them,
0:29.4	including some with the sensitive, compartmented information designation. They found them on November
0:35.4	2nd. They say the White House Council's office notified the National Archives immediately,
0:39.7	and the archives took position of them the next morning. The president ignored shouted questions
0:45.3	in Mexico from reporters tonight. Now there are questions on how the documents got there who
0:58.2	knew they were there, what exactly they contained, the U.S. Attorney in Chicago, who by the way is a
1:03.2	Trump appointee is conducting a damage assessment. But there are important distinctions between this
1:09.8	and the swirl of controversy around Donald Trump and the documents at Mar-a-Lago.
1:14.7	Biden's lawyers say they immediately turned over the documents and cooperated with the DOJ
1:19.8	as soon as they found them. It took several asks and subpoenas to get the documents that Trump had,
1:26.3	not to mention the search warrant. In that case, there was also an investigation of possible
1:30.6	obstruction. The documents found in Biden's office numbered fewer than a dozen. The documents
1:35.6	found at Mar-a-Lago number in the hundreds. There's also the legal side and, of course, the political.
1:42.2	Everybody who watched the chaos in Congress this past week knows there is a new Republican
1:47.3	majority in the House with the Gavill, with new committee chairs, and they are hungry for
1:51.8	investigations, and this could be at the top of their list now. All of this is against the backdrop
