A federal judge and DOJ attorneys will aim to settle a dispute today that at its core is about

presidential power to deport some non-citizens from the U.S.

U.S. district judge James Bosberg asked the DOJ to produce documentation to prove it did not

violate the judge's order to deport over 200 migrants last

weekend to El Salvador after Boesburg temporarily blocked the move. In response, the DOJ says

it's holding cabinet-level discussions on whether to invoke the state secrets privilege, which

protects sensitive national security information from being disclosed in civil litigation.
