Serena Shahiri here, it is fabulous to be the only girl in New York City

without COVID-19.

I'm actually feeling like a little unpopular, just because it's everybody who's like in the comedy scene has COVID-19, if you've heard of it, I don't know.

And if you know anything about my comedy, I'm doing like air quotes, comedy, career,

I don't do a lot of like real life in person stand up comedy.

Some people would go as far as to say, I don't do a lot of comedy.

And those people would be factually correct, although I would beg to differ, but we don't have time for all of that.

So I had a show this past Friday, it was supposed to be December 17th, and that wound up getting canceled.

Because I think two of the performers had gotten COVID already, like a day before the show was even supposed to happen, which is absolutely insane.

But yeah, everyone in New York got COVID, everyone particularly in the New York comedy circuit got COVID.

So I am a little tempted to pretend like I got it, to be like, oh look at me, I like do stand up regularly and not like once every other month when someone on the internet invites me to do a show that is way out of my wheelhouse on paper, but that I will do because I am deeply delusional and I operate under the idea that I should never have to do open mics.

Cheers to that, I have a little thimble of wine here with me.
