Boy, we got a lot to talk about today. The Senate at 5.30 this morning, closed debate on the

coronavirus relief package after a 13 or 15 or 17 hours of what's called a vote arama,

where all kinds of amendments and possible, possible,

the emendations to the bill were debated and the main change that was made to it was the,

was the passage of a resolution forbidding the increase in the minimum wage proposed by

Iowa Republican Senator, Joni Ernst, and passed by the senators because Joe mentioned the

conservative Democrat from West Virginia voted with the Republicans to not to raise the

federal minimum wage. Otherwise, the package is pretty much intact. So the bipartisan 10

Senator negotiation over the bill did not succeed or was steamroller or some version of the

two. And we're going to hear a lot of talk about how this is Joe Biden said he wanted

to bring everybody together, but he just pushed his package through.

The most interesting aspect of this comes this morning also in an op-ed by Larry Summers,

the former head of Obama's Council of Economic Advisers, who says that the stimulus package,

the coronavirus stimulus package is too large and is an over correction for a mistake that
