Father, I ask for your help now, as we undertake to complete this first chapter of Romans,

I ask for a sacred anointing upon me as I open my mouth to try to expos it.

Verse 32, I pray for these brothers and sisters and friends here who are called upon now to listen to the

word of God and to seek to hear with all their heart and soul and mind and strength and to love you and to let these things be upon their heart, as we are commanded to do in the fighter verse for this week.

Let these things which I command you this day be upon your heart. Oh God make that happen. Now I pray and for any unbelievers in

our midst I pray that they would be sweetly opened like a flower to the sun of your

truth and your love and your power.

So draw near Lord and make this an immeasurable moment

in the life of this church I ask in Jesus name. Amen.

I invite you to turn to Romans chapter one.

We'll read verses 28 to 32 again, like we did last week.

Only we'll focus this time on verse 32.

Romans chapter 1, versus 28 to 32.

Just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind.

To do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness,

wickedness, greed, evil,

full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice.

They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents

without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful.

And although they know the ordinance of God that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same,

but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

So in one sense, verse 32 brings the chapter to a close with a very bleak view of human nature and a very deep indictment of what becomes of us when we are given
