I just got back. Walk in the door. And saw the eyes of my puppies.

And they were both excited to see me. And they were judging me for leaving them by themselves.

Even though I left them with Natalie under her care. No, no. This was a betrayal. I was gone for a

couple of days. And I find myself first of all apologizing to the dogs when I leave. I need to

explain to them where I'm going. Okay, line is in grace. He loves you. I will be back in two days.

I talk to them as if they understand the words that are coming out of my mouth. Do you do this with

your pets? I mean, the cat is, he misses me like he's become more codependent as he's gotten older.

It used to be that I could pet him for eight seconds. And then he would bite the shit out of my hand.

And now he sits at my shoulder and purrs and sleeps next to my head. And he mows at me all the time.
