Summary

Tonight's guest, Drew, describes himself as being an avid outdoorsman who liked being in the woods as much as possible. Because of how much time he had spent in the woods, he thought he knew about all of the creatures he might run into out there. Late one night, he found out the hard way that there WAS a kind of creature in the woods he didn't even know existed. And it was a terrifying one, at that! A kind of creature that's, as Drew puts it, built to kill!

1:52.0	The first encounter happened in Polk County, Florida.
1:56.0	Okay, so I'm just going to start off by saying that this isn't my personal encounter.
2:00.8	This happened to my mother and uncle when they were children.
2:04.0	I know that the three encounters that were shared with me in rich detail have all been in the years that ended with a seven.
2:11.0	That in no way is referencing the song by Steve Cook. The encounter I'm about to tell you about happened in Lakeland, Florida in 1977.
2:20.0	My mom was six and my uncle was a few years younger than her. My grandparents were passing
2:26.5	through and a friend of theirs let them spend the night in a vacant house that their
2:30.3	friends owned. I'm guessing this was in the spring or summer because the windows were
2:35.1	wide open with bug screens on the windows. My grandmother was out in front of the house taking
2:40.6	care of my youngest uncle who was still a baby. My grandfather was reportedly using the bathroom at the time. My mom and uncle were in the back room playing. She said the window that was in the room was very high.
2:54.0	Imagine the windows that would be in a basement, except this was an upper floor window.
2:59.0	If you were outside, the window would be about 10 to 12 feet off the ground so the window was pretty high.
3:05.8	My mom said that as she and my uncle were playing, a huge hairy paw with long claws reached
3:11.2	up to the window and grabbed the screen.
