Rich notes that in 2024, no one in the Biden Administration was fired when Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin disappeared for weeks as the result of a medical procedure. CNN reported that President Joe Biden wasn’t aware for days about Austin’s hospitalization. Meanwhile, Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks was on vacation in Puerto Rico—responsibilities transferred to her when Austin was hospitalized. 4:15pm- While speaking with Newsmax, President Donald Trump called The Atlantic’s editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg a “loser.” 4:40pm- On Wednesday, NPR and PBS executives testified before the DOGE subcommittee on overtly political content being funded by taxpayers. During one exchange with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), President and CEO of National Public Radio Katherine Maher conceded that they made a mistake by not covering the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the 2020 presidential election. 4:50pm- According to the Los Angeles Times, Ben Affleck has “lost interest” in playing Batman. Rich rejoices.
