Just in case you were wondering, it wasn't enough for Donald Trump to tell the GSA to cancel all of its media subscriptions.

A little poke at the press in the pocketbook.

But now the State Department has ordered the cancellation of all news subscriptions

around the world, different embassies and international workers.

If they're deemed non-mission critical.

I love that.

It's just such a government jargon word.

So more cancellations there.

I have a column today on Fox.com. My take on the whole slashing of federal agencies laying off of many thousands of federal workers,

how it's being done, the Republican pushback in some cases.

I'll make some of the points as we talk about it today.

But I'm going to leave with a CNN story that I'm surprised isn't getting more attention.

Story number one.

The top criminal prosecutor in the Washington U.S. Attorney's Office,

Denise Chung, resigned yesterday after declining a request from her Trump-appointed superiors

to open a grand jury investigation that she viewed as premature.

This is interesting stuff.

Bear with me. According to multiple people familiar with the matter. Now look, I have to quickly add that these people who are resigning, even in the U.S. Attorney's Office, you know,

they're political pointies. They would have to resign anyway. That's what happens when there's

a new administration.
