This episode we are continuing our dog diaries series.

Essentially what we're doing is learning about different dog breeds in alphabetical order.

This episode we were looking at dogs, dog breeds that begin with

letter C. Kind of putting in my commentary, their original, their origins, their coats, their notable traits, in some cases,

and what they kind of look like to me in some cases so it's part ASM article part rambled by my part so

either way let's jump into dog di, letter C. The first dog breed, letter C, Cairn Terrier. Their origin is from Scotland. They are anywhere between 10 to 16

pounds or 4.5 to 7.3 kilos.

Their height is 9 to 13 inches or 23 to 33 centimeters.

Their coat is an abundant shaggy outer coat, soft downy undercoat, can be cream, deep red,

brindle, light gray, apricot, or black, litter sizes anywhere between 2 to 10 and their lifespan

between 12 and 17 years.

The Cairn Terrier is one of the oldest area breeds originating in the Scottish Highlands

and recognized as one of Scotland's earliest working dogs, which is funny because they're tiny little dogs,

so imagine them putting in a shift at work.

Their breed was given the name Cairn because the breed's function was to hunt and

chase quarry between the Cairns in the Scottish Highlands.

Although the breed has existed long before, the name Cairn Terrier was a compromised suggestion after the breed was originally thought to official shows in the UK in

1999 under the name Short-haired Sky Terriers. in the Next up we have the Kanan dog.

They are originally from ancient Kanan.
