So the top headline on the athletic yesterday and of the weekend in general really was the news that

Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dyke could be out for the rest of the season

after sustaining a knee injury that now needs surgery. James Pierce has written a piece on the

athletic explaining what this injury means for the Premier League champions and James joins us now

before we get on to their future without Van Dyke

what's the latest is you understanding because all the statements seem very reluctant to put a

time scale on this. Yeah well the club's standpoint certainly is that you know they

won't fully know until after he's had the surgery what the rehab program is going to look like.

I think that they're going to schedule that surgery later on this week.
