Deep in our galaxy, everyday citizens notice something no one has ever seen before.

A distant star, for some reason, dimmed significantly before returning to its usual brightness.

And then it happened again and again.

There is no other star quite like it in the night sky and scientists still aren't certain

what is causing this event.
