It is Monday, December 15th, 2025. This is another offseason edition of baseball today.

Boy, do we have a ton to get to. I mean, holy smokes, there's signings, there's trade rumors.

We've got to get to all of it. But the most important thing I saw over the

weekend is our tip of the cap to none other than one of my favorite kids around. Teddy Plouf,

who hit his first over the fence home run. My man, he just must have gotten all the fields it was great man you

know he's he's he's he's such a good kid like good teammate like everything that you want

and he always asked me like dad how come like i need to hit a home run like why am i not hitting

home runs i said dude you're 10 like it'll come man like no big deal and

he's been working so putting in the work in the backyard i let him switch to a bigger bat in that game

and then he hit a homer so maybe it was my fault all the long uh but definitely proud of them

that was awesome it's cool we we played great as a team also this weekend

that is that is so cool i love it when all the kids get to home plate and they're there to greet

him yeah the committee that's the best part best part do you know i never hit an over-the-fence

home run when i played i hit my only little league homer at Oval, and it was one of those where if it rolls into the street, they have to stop playing. It's a home run. So that's the only... That was it. You hit one of the street, all right? Yeah, we didn't have fences where I played. We didn't have fence. They were were just long grassy fields. I can vividly remember

the first time I hit a ball out of the out of the field. And it was in batting practice at one of,

it was at Northridge Little League where Teddy hit that first one, just actually crazy. One field

over. And I just finished like a football season tackle football so they all strong

and i hit when i was like holy shit all right that changes you you're like okay it was at the same

park north ridge okay teddy no uh no pressure actually never mind i'm sorry that was not at the same party. That one was at West Hills. We play the following day at North. My bad. You just should have stuck with it. I know. I don't want to lie to people. That's okay. Here we go. Mets have replaced Pete Alonzo. Sort of. Jorge Polanco, Seattle's second basement, he moves across the country and about 50 feet

to his left on the diamond to primarily play first base.

Two years, 40 million is what he gets.
