Jay Warner Wallace is a cold case homicide detective who's been investigating

cold case murders in Los Angeles County for over a decade. His work has been

featured on Fox News, Dateline and Core TV. Now, we join him as he applies his

investigative skills to making a case for Chrissie N.

My name is Jim Wallace and I have been working in Los Angeles County for about

well it's been 30 years ago when I started. I still have two open cases but I

work cases that are just homicides and they're unsolved homicides. These are

the kinds of cases that were opened up 30 years ago and then they never got

solved. If you like Dateline, you've probably seen some of our cases because I've

been on Dateline more than anybody else in the country. I'm not the cause I

wanted to be but we happen to be in Los Angeles County and Dateline's in

Universal City so we're close. But these are the kinds of cases that teach you

something about how to put together and make good inferences from evidence.

And I was not a Christian until I was 35. I didn't even have anybody my family

who were Christians. I didn't know anything about what church was like, what to

expect but I didn't know how to put together a case and so I started to look

at Christianity as a case and I became a Christian ultimately and tonight

what I want to do is share with you some of the tools the detectives use to make

cases. My son is still doing the same job that I was doing for years and we

were so cheap we hate to buy a name tag so he's wearing my name tag. By the way
