rant for a couple minutes folks it's as I am talking to you it's the morning

after the Georgia election the special election in Georgia.

So much has been said about this.

You probably don't need me commenting on it, but I just want to focus on one feature of it.

First of all, pollsters were were wrong again too close to call. Six

points is not too close to call, I don't think. But you know, that's, we're getting used to it. Don't

pay attention to the pollsters. isn't it interesting the way they

always seem to err the side on which they seem to err that's that's one point the

longer point I want to make is this

the Democrats you know have got to get their act together they've got to do some

self-examination maybe they need this autopsy

of the sorts of Republicans did back when I didn't particularly like that autopsy,

didn't particularly like a lot of the recommendations. But I was thinking of a line from

Hannah Arrant, the great political theorists who said that there's nothing more in the way of a straight jacket

for the mind than an ideological bent.

If you were an ideologue, particularly an ideologue of the left in this case, you may not be able to break out of it.

And I think that's where the Democrat Party is.

The country has moved a little bit left in the last 10, 15 years, I think culturally, more accepting of things. I think certainly on things like
