0:35.1	does the Bible advocate for social justice?
0:38.6	And I think the answer is, absolutely.
0:41.8	When God is king, he justly rules over all things and all people.
0:47.0	God ruled over a just world in the Garden of Eden before sin entered, and one day soon he will return and
0:55.4	fully establish his kingdom of love, justice, and mercy. Until then we are to
1:01.5	pray that his kingdom come and his will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
1:08.1	I think that every person, regardless of whether they are a Christian or an atheist or of a different religion or of no religion at all I think every
1:15.8	person is made in the image of God and therefore I think every person wants a just society or what we might call social justice. But in our
1:27.1	pluralistic culture people have really different ideas about what makes a
1:32.0	just society. And sometimes people call
1:35.8	something an issue of justice as a way to shut the other side up, as a way of
1:41.3	saying look no good respectable person could possibly disagree with me.
1:47.1	It seems obvious to me that Christians can't just blindly be for whatever the culture is excited about and calling a social justice issue at the moment.
1:57.0	Just because something is called a social justice issue doesn't mean that Christians can and should support it. But if social
2:05.9	justice means working for a world that is shaped according to God's will, if social
