Welcome to Andy Staples on three. Happy Wednesday. I'm still in Amelia Island, Florida at the ACC Spring meetings. Again, not the kind of awkwardness you think. Everybody having fun. Florida State, Clemson coexisting.

Everybody just living right, living the way they're supposed to.

And they are talking about issues that affect the league, even Florida State and Clemson,

which obviously they're suing the league.

The league is suing them.

They're trying to get out.

But they're still trying to figure out how to fix some of the things that happened in the past year to make it better for

the ACC while they're still in the ACC and while everybody else is in the ACC. And so the football

coaches met on Tuesday amongst one another. They then went to the ADs. What the football coaches talked about amongst themselves was there were two things that really came out as they talked about several issues, including roster size and some other things that have to do with that House versus the NCAA settlement.

But that's really out of their hands.

They're not in control of that.

But the things that the ACC can kind of control within itself, one thing came out of,

there was a two-pronged issue because basically the wound of Florida State being left out of the college football playoff as a 13 and 0 ACC champ is still very raw and very fresh.

And so they're trying to figure out how do we deal with this?

And it's not like to make sure the next ACC champ makes the playoff.

We know the next ACC champ is going to make the playoff.

Like if Florida State or some other ACC team goes 13 and O and wins the league this year,

that team's going to be at worst.

The fourth seed in the playoff are going to get a buy.

But here's where what hit Florida State last year could hit some other ACC team this year or some Big 12 team or Big 10 or SEC.
