The morning everyone and welcome back to the Messy Masterpiece Podcast with Chad and

0:14.1

Tori. Happy Friday. Happy Friday. Happy Friday y'all. Welcome back. You ready to jump into today's

0:22.0

devotional? Yes let's do it you guys. Today we're reading out of Luke 10 verse 34 and the devotional

0:29.2

is titled Carrying for Others. It says, going over to him the Samaritan soothed his wounds with

0:36.8

olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an

0:43.5

inn where he took care of him. The love letter from God says, beloved child, I love it when you

0:50.5

reach out to those in need. Many people in your life have needs and I do not expect you to meet

0:56.8

all of them, but there will be special people that I have assigned for you to serve. Although

1:14.9

1:22.6

and a reflection of my love. Love your heavenly Father. The reflection says, a person in need

1:30.1

may appear to be a burden to us, but may actually be someone God will use to change our

1:37.1

perspective on what really matters in this life. Just as Jesus saved us, he gives us the wonderful

1:44.9

honor and opportunity to save others who need to be rescued. Even the Son of God said,

1:51.7

he did not come to be served, but to serve others. The treasure of truth says, if we are not meeting

1:59.6

needs, our lives become meaningless. Yeah, that's so good. I tend to correlate the word love with

2:08.0

sacrifice or service, because I like to read it is in the Son of Man came to serve and to not be

2:15.1

served. The Son of Man came to love and to not be loved. I love how hand in hand like sacrifice

2:24.1

or service are with love, because you've heard me probably share this analogy before. If someone

2:30.8

has a newborn baby and you ask them, do they love the baby, they're like, yeah, my heart grew

2:37.6

when I had the baby. But what can the baby do for you? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
