Well, welcome to another episode of the Happy Women podcast.

I'm Jennifer Horn.

And I'm Katie Gorka.

All right, and let's jump into it because you all know if you listen to the podcast

with regularity, and I thank you for doing that, that I live in California.

Katie lives in Virginia. And both of these states have a lot in common where there's a lot

of lefty lunatics running around and making a lot of strange laws and making decisions we all

have to live by. And in California, we have two instances, Katie, of some fighters within who are really trying to make a change in our state.

I think we have to start first with the story of Gavin Newsom.

He's not one of those fighters.

But he is the governor of California.

And he released his revised budget last week.

Now, in this budget, a couple of crazy things happened.

One, he decided that he was not going to fund Proposition 36, which was voted on by the voters.

70% by the way of California voted on Prop 36, which was going to reclassify some of the crimes

that were misdemeanors back into

felonies again. This is kind of undoing some of the damage that leftists did about 10 years ago

with the passing of another proposition. So voters come in and say, you know what, we've gotten

too crazy with crime. We need to tighten things up and 70% of voters passed Prop 36. Well, this was something
