because when people look at this trade, they can think anything they want.

It says Carl Anthony Towns to the Nix trade,

and to help us sort this all out,

I've got our Timberwolves writer, John Krasinski,

and our new Knicks writer, James Edwards III,

to discuss this deal.

John, how did you see this deal come together?

And I want you to also dive into perhaps just like the history of towns

with the the timber

wolves which i just can't shy away from at all with this whole thing yeah you know it was super

interesting and quite frankly shocking development friday night that it comes down and and

and the wolves and nicks get the trade because really ever since leon rose

came to the nix and started running them he's carl anthony town's first agent coming out of

college um he you know cea connections there were rumors that the nicks were coming to get

carl anthony towns for years, literally.

And then Gerson Rosas, who was the president of basketball operations for the Timberwolves, gets fired, goes to the Knicks and joins that staff.

Then those rumors only increased over the last, say, a year or so.

And you heard all the time from all sorts of people all over the league, the Knicks

want towns, the Nix want towns, the Nix Wants want towns. And forever and ever, it was the response
