0:17.0	While there are some differences in gravestones, almost every gravestone has some common features.
0:23.4	They usually have the name of the person, the date the person was born, and the date the person died.

0:34.2	died, are separated by a dash. That dash hides a story. Because you see that dash is the same on every tombstone but that
0:46.5	dash represents a life and every life is not the same. Every dash looks the same but not every life is the same. Everybody spends their dash differently. Every person's
0:59.4	life will be reduced to a dash. The question is, how will you spend your dash? In
1:06.0	Acts 13, it says this of David, King David. For when David had served God's
1:12.1	purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep, he was buried with his fathers and his body decayed.
1:18.5	Wouldn't it be amazing if God said about us that we fulfilled our purpose in our generation, in our life, in our
1:27.6	community, in our family, in our church.
1:31.1	Proverbs 16-4 says, the Lord has made everything for his own purpose.
1:37.0	Think about that for a moment. God has made everything including you for his purpose. You can choose a lot of things in your life but you can choose your
1:47.0	purpose that comes from God now there's a lot of hope in that verse too. There's a lot of hope in the truth that God has created us for his purpose because that means that our life is not a random sequence of events.
2:04.0	We aren't at the mercy of our circumstances, our economy, other people's choices.
2:09.5	God made you for his purpose, even if your life seems to be one thing after the next.
2:16.7	You can be sure that God is working in it, that God is accomplishing something, even if you

2:23.6	Ephesians 111 says, in him we were also chosen, having been predestined according
2:30.4	to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.
