Hello again, I'm Orman Alney, and this is To the Point.

America's H-1B visa program allows U.S. companies to employ foreign workers

highly skilled in specialty occupations. President Trump says America first means it should only

apply to the highest paid applicants, so U.S. workers aren't being replaced by cheap foreign labor.

His latest immigration order, along with his travel ban, may be responsible for a decline in

immigration. Applications from foreign students are down by 40 percent. Such programs help spread

Western values among foreign elites will change as risk diluting America's soft power. Later on today's

talking point, President Trump calls protected national monuments

a massive federal land grab.
