0:11.6	Right now we're going through the first book of the Bible, Genesis.
0:14.8	When I was in college I took a trip with a group of friends to go backpack and canoe at
0:20.3	Voyager's National Park in Minnesota.
0:23.0	We left really early in the morning.
0:25.0	We all piled into my friends Buick LeSabor.
0:27.0	So if you were wondering, we were driving in geriatric style.
0:30.0	But after about four hours into our trip, disaster struck.
0:34.8	The car just stopped running out of nowhere.
0:37.4	At the time, we were on an interstate and were quickly losing speed and
0:41.7	my buddy's frantically pulling the Buick over and we get out we check the engine
0:46.6	and something is obviously wrong so we call a tow truck and it takes us to the nearest
0:51.2	Bueick dealership which is in Mason City, Iowa.
0:55.3	You probably never been to Mason City.
0:57.2	It is in the middle of nowhere.
0:59.2	After we sit and wait for a little bit, a mechanic comes out and he tells us that the Buick's transmission is toast.
1:04.7	We're going to need a replacement.
1:06.2	But because we're in the middle of Nowhereville, Iowa, getting a replacement was going
1:09.7	to take more than a day, and it wasn't going to be cheap. And so the three of us were all just groaning because we know where we wanted to go. We wanted to get to Voyager's National Park. We wanted to have our backpacking adventure. But of course now we have no idea how to get there.
1:24.4	We've got a broken transmission and a bill that we can't pay. I think it's really easy for something similar to happen in the Christian life. We know where God wants us to go, but things happen that knock us off course. They knock us off his mission.
