Welcome back to Sochiology 101.

Today we're going to be talking about a debate I recently moderated at Truitt Seminary there at Baylor University in Waco with my good friend, Dr. Braxton Hunter, who is the president of Trinity Seminary. A great seminary, by the way, if you're looking for a school, a place of higher education,

consider trinity sim.edu for more information, or you can go to Sochiology 101 and click on the classroom link

and find out more information about Trinity Seminary. And we're going to be talking about a debate he had with Matt DeLahante.

0:36.6

Now, the reason I wanted to talk about this is on sociology is because I really do think that

0:43.3

soterology ties directly into how we do apologetics. We had Eric Hernandez on talking about

0:50.8

our apologetic methodology, whether you're presuppositionalist versus a classical

0:56.4

approach apologist or an evidentialist oftentimes depends upon how you look at God in his

existence and how you look at the way in which he treats people and the way salvation works.

If you're a determinist, for example, a theistic determinist,

1:11.9

meaning that God brings everything to pass according to a divine decree, then you're going to

1:16.0

approach apologetics a little differently than you might approach it if you believe in

1:21.2

libertarian free will, for example. And the reason I asked Dr. Hunter and Dr. Pritchett from Trinity to join me today is to talk through these issues and to talk through, I think the first time I've ever heard a free will argument, a libertarian free will argument, for a case for the existence of God.

1:41.7

And so welcome, if you will, Dr. Pritchett and Dr. Hunter from Trinity Seminary.

1:47.8

Guys, thank y'all for joining me today.

1:49.6

Glad to be here, man.

1:50.6

Yeah, thanks for having us on the show again, ahonte, who is a known atheist, a pretty

2:02.7

wide following there in Austin area, and he does a broadcast. No, he's not on that side of you.

2:09.0

He's on, he's beside Pritchett. I put Pritchett between you. He's on the other side of you.

2:14.3

But there you go, Pritchie. You're looking right at him there. There you go. And he did a response to the debate. Well, he really didn't respond to the debate. He responded to me,

2:24.5

which was kind of interesting. And I hate that fact because I think that you, well, he did,

2:31.8

he started off responding to your free will argument, and that's
