0:24.0	We got a listener question from Anay, who's 10 years old and lives in Georgia.
0:29.0	Anay writes, Is there such thing as ESP, extra sensory perception?
0:33.7	And if so, what are the chances of having it?
0:36.2	Great question, Anay.
0:38.4	ESP is defined as an awareness that comes through something
0:42.4	other than the five known senses, stuff like telepathy
0:45.7	or mind reading, clairvoyance or proceeding something elsewhere in space or time, and precognition or seeing into the future.
0:54.0	All of that is generally considered to be in the realm of the
0:57.4	paranormal or things that are outside the understanding of science.
1:02.0	But that doesn't mean that they can't be
1:04.3	studied scientifically. I mean after all if you say that you can read your friend's
1:08.8	mind it should be pretty simple to sit you down in a lab, put your friend in another room, and have you tell a scientist
1:14.8	what your friend is thinking.
1:17.2	Or so you'd think.
1:19.6	In fact, scientists have been studying ESP for decades and they still can't say for sure whether ESP exists.
