Braden Point is injured. Left the game on Monday, cannot put weight on his leg. They're calling it

week to week. One league source says not good. Could this open the door for Connor Bedard to join

Canada's Olympic team? That's the purpose of having these players that are on the stand-by list is

that when injuries happen, not if, when, you have guys on notice that they're

going to be the next person up. And since the hockey rosters have come out for the Olympics,

we've said, wish for any injuries, but that's going to be the way that these guys,

Connor Bred, gets on to Team Canada. And I think if you're looking at when Tom Wilson got

hurt I think we went through this where it was just like oh maybe this is Bader's opening he's not

one he's not as hurt as we thought and two they're going to replace it kind of play style for play

style not next person up right you know in the queue or whatever so Tom Wilson replaced by Bedard, wouldn't have made sense in that sense.

But right in point, if he does miss the Olympics,

Connor Bardard is pretty close to that style of player that you'd replace him with.

So Pierre LeBron from The Athletic wrote about this earlier in the week.

Lizid Sam Bennett, Connoradard, Wyatt Johnson,

Mark Schifley, Seth Jarvis, and Travis Kineckney

as some of the names on a reserve list, according to league sources.

So if we're talking about Braden points for placement,

to me, the two most obvious are Counter-Badard and Wyatt Johnson

in terms of style of play.

So this could be the window for Badar.

Now, maybe if you're going attribute for attribute, Wyatt Johnson, is a little closer to

Brayden Point than Counter-Badard is, but you're looking for some offensive upside.
